Age started fishing tournaments: 28. I wasn’t very interested in fishing before a buddy talked me into a “prefishing” weekend. Long story short, that weekend has cost me a bunch of money and time over the past decade.
What are you most excited about the NPFL: #1. Strait up, high-stakes tournament fishing. #2. The brain-children from the “The League” have built a platform that even guys from the distant Pacific Northwest can be part of. It’s hard not to appreciate the passion and motivation the owners have for this new league, and I’m grateful to be part of it.
One cool fact: I am the president of the rod company, Alpha Angler. Some people think I travel thousands of miles and spend weeks away from home tournament fishing, because it’s great marketing for Alpha. Unfortunately, that’s the not the case. Alpha has been an extremely positive by-product of my tournament fishing addiction!!!
