Mid-Day Report – Fast Morning, Slow Afternoon

It's tight at the top as the leaderboard shuffle continues into the afternoon on Lake Hartwell.

In the words of FatCat, the leaderboard is “flipping and flopping” on day two, with the weights close and anglers making their moves. Cloudy skies have made the fishing better on day two, but catching quality fish is still a problem for most of the field.

Day one leader Kyle Welcher is having a slower day at this point with no fish recorded on the Weigh Live Tracker. He has a few fish in his livewell he caught on Live Coverage, but he has work to do this afternoon to maintain his position.

In second place to begin the morning, Will Harkins put a small limit in the boat this morning before making a minor rules infraction that cost him his fish. Read more about the incident, here. Since that incident where he released his fish and started his day over, Harkins has filled another limit and has kept himself in the mix with the afternoon to go.

Unofficially, Mike Corbishley and Trent Palmer hold the one and two spots with over 13 pounds each on the day. Their solid start on day two had them within striking distance and the two have done work this morning to move up.

Behind them, Michael Stout and JTodd Tucker are sitting in third and fourth with solid limits and each has a bigger quality fish in the box. Anglers continue to mention that one big fish will go a long way in the standings, and we are seeing that play out.

The weigh-in this afternoon begins at 3:00 PM EST on TNPFL.com.

The top ten look like this:

Mike Corbishley 26-3
Trent Palmer 25-9
Jason Burroughs 25-2
Michael Stout 25-1
JTodd Tucker 24-12
Justin Kimmell 24-4
Richard Kee 23-7
Todd Goade 22-3
Bailey Gay 22-0
Hunter Sales 21-14

The League

Since the NPFL launched in 2021, the goal has remained the same: To prioritize anglers and establish a trail that aligns with the original intentions of competive bass fishing's founders.
