DELAND, Fla. — The National Professional Fishing League and the West Volusia Tourism Advertising Authority are excited to announce that the NPFL will complete its 2024 season on the St. Johns River out of DeLand, Florida, December 11-13.
An earlier tournament was scheduled for the St. Johns out of DeLand in September but was canceled due to Hurricane Helene.
“The cancelation was inevitable because of the weather, but we’re thrilled that schedules aligned so that we can visit DeLand in December and fish the tournament we hoped to complete earlier,” explained NPFL president Brad Fuller. “The people of DeLand and the representatives of the West Volusia Tourism Advertising Authority have been so accommodating and welcoming that we wanted to do everything possible to get back there quickly. This is a great opportunity to do exactly that.”
“We have a busy schedule of events in Central Florida,” said Georgia Turner, Executive Director of the West Volusia Tourism Advertising Authority, local host for the event, “but were able to find a window of opportunity to host the tournament. We enjoy a wonderful relationship with the NPFL and have a serious commitment to fishing and anglers. It’s going to be a great event.”
