Short column this week. The holidays are here and, like you, I’m spending time with the family.
With the rescheduling of the final tournament of 2024, this last week was the first time I could actually relax and say my season was over. It’s been nice to have a week without too much fishing on the mind. This week will be more of the same with lots of family time and, of course, a little hunting.
This time of year, it’s easy to reflect on what we have to be thankful for. I’m so thankful for my wife and girls and their ability to travel with me. And that I get to fish for a living! It still blows my mind that I am fishing at the national level. It’s a true testament that I am living the life I used to dream of.
What I am the most thankful for is my relationship with Jesus Christ. Without that relationship, nothing else matters. And this is the perfect time of year to reflect on just that. Jesus was born on Christmas Day to save us from our sins. If you don’t have a relationship with Him, I encourage you to reach out to someone, me included, and find out what it’s all about.
We will dive back in next week with my plans and goals for the 2025 season. Until then, Merry Christmas!
