At the halfway point of Finale Friday, it’s been a grind on Lake Eufaula. According to Fishing Chaos Catch Track, only six anglers have cracked the double-digit mark—though all weights remain unofficial until the weigh-in kicks off at 2:00 PM CST with Big Al.
While the field caught them better than expected on Day One, the added pressure on those key areas is clearly taking a toll.
Day One leader Wes Logan noted it might take something “off the radar” to win this event—something away from the community holes—and so far, he may be right. Logan has yet to report a fish, and fellow frontrunner Brandon Cobb is sitting on a light limit of under 8 pounds. Corey Casey has just three fish and has dropped out of the top five.
Most anglers featured on live coverage are still targeting the bushes, rotating between flipping and moving baits like buzzbaits, swim jigs, and spinnerbaits.
The most consistent so far? Alabama’s Gerald Swindle. Starting the day several pounds back, he’s quietly put together over 12 pounds, anchored by two quality fish. Chad Marler also has around 12 pounds and is in the mix to make a serious move up the leaderboard when the scales close.
Unofficially in third, Brandon Cobb has rallied with a small limit around 8 pounds and climbed back into contention. Sitting in fourth and fifth at the mid-day point, Mike Quinlin and Scott Canterbury have each reported around 11 pounds, positioning themselves for a strong finish if they can upgrade this afternoon.
With the afternoon bite still ahead, we’ll see who climbs the FISHING CHAOS CATCH TRACK leaderboard before weigh-in kicks off.
Current Top 10 (Unofficial):
Gerald Swindle 28-2
Chad Marler 28-1
Brandon Cobb 26-14
Mike Quinlin 25-7
Scott Canterbury 25-5
Tommy Biffle 25-5
Brandon Classon 25-2
Kevin Rogers 24-0
Hunter Baughman 22-8
Corey Casey 21-14
