With only six limits reported on the day, the sunny, low wind conditions are making it tough yet again. Several anglers said before the event that staying consistent throughout and catching five fish limits would pay dividends come Showdown Saturday. So far, with the biggest bag of the day on day two. Stephanie Hemphill-Pellerin followed up her 10-pound, 2-ounce bag on day one with an unofficial weight of over 16.5 pounds at the halfway point on Friday.

Trent Palmer began the day in the top five and has recorded a double-digit limit keeping him in the hunt. Louis Fernandes is over 13-pounds on the day keeping him near the top with Marc Schilling and Doug Chapin rounding out the top five with the only other 10-pound plus bags so far.

Leader Mike Corbishley has yet to report a bass on the Weigh Live Tracker which throws off the numbers, but it is reported he has some fish in the boat. As the anglers approach the “afternoon flurry,” as some anglers put it, the standings are bound to change in the last few hours and will make for an interesting weigh-in this afternoon.

Live coverage ends at 1 PM and the final hours will make for an exciting 3 PM CST weigh-in this afternoon.

The top ten look like this:
Stephanie Hemphill-Pellerin 26-11
Trent Palmer 25-15
Louis Fernandes 24-9
Marc Schilling 24-0
Douglas Chapin 21-0
Ron Johnson 20-11
Brandon Perkins 19-15
Patrick Walters 18-2
Mitchell Elsey 17-10
