Morning report and a familiar face at the top.

It may be a tough bite on Lake Eufaula, but some sticks always seem to catch fire.

Tennessee angler Brandon Perkins is getting to work early this morning with a four bass weight of 10-pounds, 8-ounces according to the Weigh Live Tracker. With only one limit reported by Ron Johnson, the anglers’ predictions of a tough bite under bluebird skies seems to be holding true.

On the water photographers are reporting success with anglers fishing docks. Progressive AOY Leader Todd Goade predicted after practice that docks would be a big player for him, and likely many anglers in the field. If Goade could fish this event with just one bait only, he would be fishing docks with a jig. Luckily for him, he has all day to work through several patterns that develop this week on Lake Eufaula.

With many fishing shallow cover and exploiting the dock pattern, the question is, will it hold up?

Live coverage ends at 1 PM and the final hours will make for an exciting 3 PM CST weigh-in this afternoon.

The (unofficial) Top Ten look like this:
Brandon Perkins 10-8
John Cox (GA) 8-8
Ron Johnson 8-4
Louis Fernandes 7-0
Trent Palmer 7-0
Jason Wilson 6-12
Richard Kee 6-9
Michael Yoder 5-8
Randy Sullivan 5-0
Mitchell Elsey 4-12
