The NPFL stop number three is underway on Pickwick Lake and the bass are showing out, at least for the top of the leaderboard. There were 111 anglers that caught fish with 62 total five-fish limits on day one. At the top, Drew Cook leads the pack with a stellar morning which saw him quickly boat 22 pounds, 13 ounces.

Behind Cook by just 6 ounces, Isaac Peavyhouse relied on a 6-pound kicker to anchor his day-one weight of 22 pounds, 7 ounces. Unlike Drew Cook, who was confident in his area and the lack of pressure, Peavyhouse is fishing around other anglers but his ability to get bites despite the pressure could keep him around the fish.

In the third and fourth place spots, Patrick Walters and John Branch cracked 20 pounds and have Pickwick figured out. John Branch rounds out the top five with 19 pounds, 10 ounces and looks to maintain his place near the top as the event progresses.

The top ten after day one looks like this:
Drew Cook 22-13
Isaac Peavyhouse 22-7
Patrick Walters 20-3
John Branch 20-1
Michael Yoder 19-7
Dustin Perry 18-13
John Soukup 18-13
Thomas Shelton 18-5
Zack Birge 18-4

The League

Since the NPFL launched in 2021, the goal has remained the same: To prioritize anglers and establish a trail that aligns with the original intentions of competive bass fishing's founders.
