Mid-Day Report – A Tougher Day Two

The NPFL Pros are working for it on Saginaw Bay as day two proves to be a bit of a grind.

A tougher day two for the NPFL anglers as the weather is the polar opposite of the first day. Heavier winds are making it tougher for anglers to move around and cover water, and the Weigh Live Tracker is much slower, as well. Day one leader, and defending champion Trent Palmer made it to his spot but is only reporting one bass – a 4-pounder.

Gary Adkins leads the charge at the midway point having just updated his weight. Unofficially he is showing 36 pounds, 3 ounces on day two with lots of room to upgrade. Behind him, Jesse Wise is reporting 33 pounds, 4 ounces total and Joey Bloom checks in at third-place with 32 pounds, 2 ounces.

It is being reported that Zack Birge is culling 2.5 to 3-pound fish and if that is the case, when he updates his tracker, he should be the unofficial leader. There is lots of time for the anglers to upgrade their catches as the tracker is showing much lower weights than day one. With the smallmouth anglers struggling with the wind, the opportunity for those who are fishing shallow to gain ground is certainly in play.

The top ten look like this:
Gary Adkins 36-3
Jesse Wise 33-4
Joey Bloom 32-2
Wes Logan 30-13
Jason Reyes 30-5
JTodd Tucker 29-7
Trent Palmer 29-4
Ron Farrow 29-3
Robert Wroblewski 28-8
Isaac Peavyhouse 28-7

The League

Since the NPFL launched in 2021, the goal has remained the same: To prioritize anglers and establish a trail that aligns with the original intentions of competive bass fishing's founders.
