Last week’s trip to Logan Martin seemed to be productive. I feel like there was a full week’s worth of stuff to see. There always is though. Last time we were there the water was quite a bit lower. As of last week, I believe it was at full pool. There was lots of willow grass in the water. The upper half really seemed to fish similar to how the Arkansas River fishes in the late summer. I hope I can expand on that when we go back next month.

Until then, I’m back at home finishing up all these local tournaments. I believe I’ve got roughly 10 or 15 left. Several of those are only three- to four-hour evening tournaments, but they should be enough to keep me sharp until we head back to Logan Martin.

With this year winding down, I’m already looking forward to 2026. There’s been so many good-looking schedules already announced—local and regional—I’d love to fish them all! And of course, I’m eagerly anticipating the 2026 NPFL schedule, too.

If you follow me on any of my social media platforms, you know that 2026 will look a little different for us. Andrea and I are expecting our third kid in late February. This will change our travel a little but hopefully not too much. As of now we are planning on Andrea and all the kiddos still traveling to NPFL events with me in 2026 and beyond. However, depending on how the dates of the first couple events coincide with the due date, they may miss one or two events. Thankfully this will be a scheduled C-section and I won’t be tearing across the country to get home like I did with our oldest!

Thanks for checking in this week. I’ll be back next week with a more in-depth story or fishing tips.

Catch you then!

The League

Since the NPFL launched in 2021, the goal has remained the same: To prioritize anglers and establish a trail that aligns with the original intentions of competive bass fishing's founders.
