At the halfway point on Logan Martin, 76 anglers have reported a catch on the Fishing Chaos Catch Track, with ten anglers into double-digit weights—the key being quality bass. With fall conditions and minimal currents, the fishing has been tough, and the bass are spread out.
As expected, many anglers started the day throwing some sort of reaction bait in shallow water under cloudy conditions. Fish are being caught, but working through the small fish to reach a larger limit is a must. Alabama angler Wes Logan had a slower practice period than expected but noted that catching fish in general was the best way to find quality bass.
On-the-water photographers report a slight wind, with the morning bite over and anglers now focusing on docks. Chatterbaits, jigs, and topwater baits are all in play on day one.
Farrow and Watson in Front
Ron Farrow and James “World Wide” Watson lead the pack unofficially, both reporting over 13 pounds on the day. Behind them, Bama anglers Scott Canterbury and Wes Logan are in a great spot with over 12 pounds, and Josh Watkins rounds out the top five with 11-plus pounds.
The afternoon push is still coming, and we’ll see who climbs the Fishing Chaos Catch Track leaderboard before weigh-in kicks off at 3 PM CST.
Live coverage continues all day tomorrow and on Finale Friday, wrapping up the final stop of the 2025 season.
