Day Three is here, and the final regular season competition day of the 2025 season is set for launch. Logan Martin Lake and the City of Oxford hosted the NPFL field for a three-day tournament running September 25–27, with daily takeoffs at 6:30 AM CST from Lincoln’s Landing.
After Ron Farrow took over first place after Day One, it was Alabama angler Scott Canterbury who took control and plans on not letting go on Day Two. A victory in his home state would mark his second win of 2025, with the first coming back in May on Douglas Lake.
When the competition started, figuring out which phase of the fall transition was key, and with two days of competition behind us, those who figured thing out have risen to the top. Consistent spotted bass bags—with the exception of Canterbury’s 6-4 big bass, currently the largest bag of the event—are the main difference between Canterbury and second-place angler Brandon Cobb. Cobb has weighed in bags of 15 and 13 pounds, and is catching better average fish, without catching one over 4 pounds. With a little magic on the final day, Cobb could make up the 2-10 margin in one swing of the rod.
In third, Tennessee angler Brandon Perkins has also been consistent, despite not landing a kicker fish in either of the first two days. His 27-13 total is just 13 ounces back from Cobb, and he too is due for a big bite. Rounding out the top five, Hunter Baughman and Ron Farrow have both relied on big bites to stay near the top and will be rewarded with a Live Coverage camera.
The final day weigh-in will begin at 3:00 PM CST at Lincoln’s Landing, 740 Travis Dr, Lincoln, AL 35096, with live coverage today from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM CST. The first group will check in first, followed by the top anglers at the very end.
Weather Watch
Day Three is expected to see partly cloudy skies with highs around 85°F and light, variable winds. Lows at takeoff will be in the low 60s, warming steadily as the day progresses, providing generally stable conditions for anglers.
