Terkla Lands a Giant
After a frustrating start this morning, Rob Terkla makes up for it in one pitch. Rob caught an “absolute beast” that was pushing 8-pounds to go with 4 “smaller fish” gives Rob about 13-pounds unofficially and within the top 10.
Rob told me earlier in the week that he thought 12 to 13-pounds would get paid and he certain has a good start with that big bite.
“Half the field, about 40 boats will have five 14-inch fish and weigh in 9.5 to 11-pounds.”
Getting 12 plus will certainly go a long way to separate yourself from the rest this week.
River Lee Catching Them Early on Day One
On the water photographer Tanner Lyons is watching River Lee go to work early this morning. Tanner says River has an estimated 19-12 pounds including one almost 7.75-pounds.
River told Tanner he “found a good flipping bite on the edge of Kissimmee grass and he is eager to crack the 20-pound mark.”
“I would rather be fishing offshore but I feel like I have to be sticking shallow to survive.”
