Mid-Day Report, A two Man Race at the Top

It is a much slower start for a lot of anglers and a tight race at the top.

Roommates this week Todd Goade and Patrick Walters are trading blows this morning with Goade getting the best of the leader so far. Goade is reported to have over 19 pounds on the Weigh Live Tracker with a 7-pounder and another over 5 pounds.

Goade reported he had located a new area on day two and culled with two bigger bass to end his day. He had confidence in four areas and was looking forward to leaning on them with a shot at the win.

Walters came into the event in his home state looking for revenge after a tough Elite Series Event here this spring. So far, he has executed two solid days on the water and came into the day with an over 3-pound lead on Will Harkins. While Harkins is struggling, Walters does have a reported limit of around 11 pounds which has him behind Goade by around 2 pounds.

Walters had no plans to change his approach this week today and will fish what looks good and trust his instinct on the final day while expanding his water as much as the wind will allow for.

At this point, four limits have been recorded on the day.

The top ten look like this:
Todd Goade 59-14
Patrick Walters 57-8
Darrel Robertson 46-13
Kevin Martin 44-10
Quentin Cappo 41-0
Jesse Wise 39-2
Marc Schilling 39-1
Timmy Reams 37-14
Keith Carson 37-9

The League

Since the NPFL launched in 2021, the goal has remained the same: To prioritize anglers and establish a trail that aligns with the original intentions of competive bass fishing's founders.
