After a brief fog delay to start day one, the anglers launched into day one and got to catching fish. At the top of the list, David Fritts is new to the NPFL roster for 2024, but his history on Logan Martin runs deep. Fritts has three top ten finishes in the Bassmaster Classic on the river including a win. With a live bonus camera on day one, Fritts got to work early this morning racking up over 14-pounds on the day and taking over the unofficial lead.

On the water photographers are reporting several anglers fishing shallow either with crankbaits, as we have seen with David Fritts, and dragging bottom baits. Water temperatures were in the 40’s this morning and have crept into the 50’s with calm winds and sunny skies. Anglers are hoping the bite picks up this afternoon.

Around 19 limits have been reported on the day, including Wes Logan who is reporting 11-pounds, 13-ounces on the Weigh Live Tracker. Behind him in third, Dustin Perry rounds out the double-digit weights with Alton Wilhoit and Jason Wilson claiming fourth and fifth place at the mid-day point with over 9-pounds.

The weigh in this afternoon begins at 3:30 PM CST on TNPFL.com.

The top ten look like this:

David Fritts 14-0
Wes Logan 11-13
Dustin Perry 11-2
Alton Wilhoit 9-10
Jason Wilson 9-7
Douglas Chapin 9-6
Larry Wilcher 8-15
Isaac Peavyhouse 8-14
Jesse Wise 8-5
Brock Bila 8-5

The League

Since the NPFL launched in 2021, the goal has remained the same: To prioritize anglers and establish a trail that aligns with the original intentions of competive bass fishing's founders.
