Mid-Day Update on Day Two

This should come as no surprise — it's rough on Erie!

As the midday point comes for the anglers in the first flight, it appears to be a repeat of day one with the bigger bass coming later in the day. The top anglers from day one are catching fish but will need to make some culls to get back to the weights they had on day one.

The unofficial leaders as of now have a solid limit and have plenty of time to make key culls before check in. Progressive AOY leader Timmy Reams had some struggles on day one with lost fish and having to take time to remove a buried hook from his skin. His limit of 14-pounds, 12-ounces kept him in the hunt with two more days to make a move. Look for him to bring in a heavier bag to the scales and make up some ground.

Keith Carson updated his weigh live tracker and is now the unofficial leader followed by Trent Palmer, Ryan Satterfield and Todd Goade. Gary Adkins won the previous event at Saginaw Bay and knows how to fish for big water smallmouth. He sits inside the top five with four bass for 14-pounds plus and can easily add another fish to his limit.

The big move of the day so far is two-time NPFL winner John Soukup with 18-pounds on the day and 2nd place angler to begin the day Brandon Perkins has less than 10-pounds and sits in 10th currently. He has plenty of room to grow but needs to begin his ride back to Sandusky soon.

The top 10 looks like this at the midway point:
Keith Carson 14-14 25-11
Trent Palmer 16-4 25-11
Ryan Satterfield 13-13 34-2
Todd Goade 15-2 34-1
Gary Adkins 14-10 33-10
Randy Kukral 16-6 33-3
John Soukup 18-0 32-5
Chad Randles 12-10 32-3
Mike Corbishley 17-0 32-2
Brandon Perkins 8-10 30-11

The League

Since the NPFL launched in 2021, the goal has remained the same: To prioritize anglers and establish a trail that aligns with the original intentions of competive bass fishing's founders.
